Ten layers of newsprint treated with a biodegradable cool-press laminate make the clutch (resembling a folded-up tabloid) sturdy and water resistant. Grommet closure keeps your necessities secure. Artist Bio
When designer Connie Carman worked at a hotel where guests receive a newspaper every day, she was dismayed by how many papers wound up in the trash and began experimenting to see what she could do with them. She now makes a number of useful items from discarded dailies.
