These unique and eco-friendly bracelets are handmade of recycled scraps of wood covered with eye-catching,
out-of-date glossy magazine pages using a decoupage technique by Brazilian artists. All the wood is from the
workshop of a carpenter who uses only wood from sustainable forests; he provides scraps in various sizes to the
artists -- the reason each rectangle varies slightly. The cuff bracelets are strung on elastic with beads
leftover from other projects.
Artist Bio
Claudia Garzesi is a designer for the Recycled Planet Store. This New York-based company's accessories are created by under-employed Brazilian craftsmen, providing them with jobs while utilizing recycled materials to reduce waste in landfills.
