Artist Bio
Sculptor David Edgar, an artist from North Carolina, recycles plastic containers and detergent bottles into quirky marine life called Plastiquarium. He believes they evolved because "a century of increasing phosphate levels in Earth's marine environment caused new, synthetic life forms to emerge." He notes that his "Plastiquarium creatures evolved in the image of their packaging forbearers."
