A tiny hand-painted brass dragonfly seems to flutter down on this decorative, handmade wish box which brings
a touch of the out-of-doors to anyone's desk or table. The box itself is brass with a patina finish and is
embellished with found and recycled objects: a hand- painted brass frame, dragonfly, faux amethyst stones,
and various antique findings. Each charming little box is lined with a small piece of an old handwritten
letter and contains a dried rosebud. It can be used to preserve personal wishes or as elegant place to hold
earrings, a ring or pills. Available in a limited edition.
Artist Bio
Jim Mullan and Tori Rhoades create jewelry from recycled watch
parts and
found objects for their company, Mullanium. Some of their pieces
feature
recycled metals — copper, brass and steel — plated with silver or
enhanced
with oxidation to provide an fascinating array of colors and
finishes.
