Do you have more candles
than candleholders or candles that don't fit your candlesticks? Try making
these imaginative candleholders from old glass vases, bowls, and plumbing
parts. These projects are from Creative Candleholders,
a collection of 60 do-it-yourself projects which
shows how to create stunning candleholders from unlikely components.
The publishers have
granted us permission to share the following quick fixes with you. (Text

Lead Pipe Candlesticks
These industrial-chic designs use off-the-shelf plumbing parts from
a home-improvement store.
Materials
- 2 lead plumbing
pipes, 3/4' wide and 5 to 6 inches long
- 2 lead flanges
- 2 large
lead couplings
- 2 lead fittings
- 2 flat and
pegged candles
To assemble
each candlestick, screw the pipe into the flange to create the base.
Slide the coupling onto the pipe so it rests on the base. Screw
the fitting to the top to give the piece more definition.
